multiple points of view

Multiple points of view relate to the character onscreen and the type of shot used to show this person in film.

  • POV (Point of View) is when the camera is placed in place of a character, making you see the story from their point of view and how they would see the situation.
  • OSS (Over the shoulder shot) is when the camera is behind one persons shoulder as they are talking to another. The back of the head or shoulders is usually captured when using these shots to show both characters communicating.
